Right at Berlin’s Ostbahnhof railway station, with an unobstructed view of the Spree river, you find the East Side Office building, with a gross floor space of approx. 30,000 m²s. Constructed as a high-end office building, it has a natural stone façade made of travertine with oak timber windows designed by Thomas Müller Ivan Reimann Architekten. Bright office spaces with a modern design were created in the interior. Large window openings allow rooms to be flooded with light and provide a view of the Spree river and East Side Gallery. The company Effinger Partner Architekten BDA was awarded the contract for execution planning. The project developer Nippon Development Corporation Real Estate Management GmbH entered into a lease agreement for the office space with the Daimler Group even before the start of construction.
